We are currently looking for a Part-Time Laundry Attendant.
Overview:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible to operate the hotel's laundry facilities and ensure that an adequate supply of linens and laundry supplies are available to meet hotel demand and use.
The ideal candidate will be a flexible team player.
The hotel team prides themselves in upholding a high standard of professionalism and service that the guests have come to enjoy and will look to the housekeeping and laundry staff to help meet guest expectations.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the smooth running of all daily laundry activities.
Receive dirty laundry from cleaning staff and separate bedding and towels by type.
Wash and dry clothing and linens and follow proper cleaning procedures.
Maintain the organization of the laundry room.
Contribute to a strong culture within the housekeeping department.
Continuously improve the standards of housekeeping at the property.
Follow any and all housekeeping SOPs and provide feedback and suggestions for areas of improvement.
Ensure that stock levels are property maintained.
Ensure that senior management are kept abreast of any important information.
Assist in filing incident reports when necessary.
Refer to the standard operating procedure for more details.
Arrive to work promptly and on time, ready for work.
Friends are not permitted to accompany staff members during work.
Do not remove any hotel property from the site - it is prohibited and subject to immediate termination, as well as possible charges.
Be aware of the importance of safety and security.
Endeavor to be conscious of safety and security at all times.
Be friendly and courteous to guests at all times.
Requirements/Skills:
Strong verbal and written English skills, with Spanish a plus.
Dress appropriately for the job with the required attire and/or uniform and maintain proper personal hygiene.

Work independently with general supervision; learn and interpret laws, rules, regulations, and policies and apply them to specific cases with good judgment.
Perform analytical studies and draw sound conclusions; communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population.
Have knowledge and skills of generally accepted Hotel policies and procedures.
Be able to lift approximately 30 lbs of supplies when needed.
