As the Hotel Front Desk Lead, you will be responsible for supervising and leading the front desk team, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service.
You will serve as a role model for front desk agents, providing guidance, support, and exemplary service to our valued guests.
The essential tasks you'll be responsible for include (but are not limited to) the following:
Greet and assist guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
Ensure that guest check-in and check-out processes are efficient and accurate.
Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
Supervise and mentor front desk agents, ensuring they are well-trained and knowledgeable.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to front desk agents, coordinating daily activities.
Oversee the reservation and room assignment process to optimize room occupancy.
Monitor the front desk area to ensure cleanliness, organization, and a professional appearance.
Assist in training new front desk staff and ensure they adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
Collaborate with other hotel departments to resolve guest issues and ensure a seamless guest experience.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
Maintain accurate records of guest accounts and reservations.
Generate reports related to occupancy, revenue, and guest feedback as required.
The requirements and skills for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:
Strong verbal and written English skills, with Spanish a plus.
Dress appropriately for the job with the required attire and/or uniform and maintain proper personal hygiene.
Perform analytical studies and draw sound conclusions; communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
Have knowledge and skills of generally accepted reception and reservation principles, Hotel policies and procedures.
Be able to lift approximately 30 lbs of supplies when needed.
